The Bedford Soccer Association is a community-based organization of youth and senior players and adult volunteers that serves to promote and support participation in and development of soccer in the Bedford area of the Halifax Regional Municipality. BSA operates within the jurisdiction of the Suburban District Soccer Association and is affiliated with SNS, and the BSA serves as the regulating body for soccer within the Bedford area.
The principle objective of the Club is to ensure the opportunity for players to participate in organized programs of team play and skill development at a level appropriate for each individual based on commitment and level of ability. The Club will endeavor to develop teams of players that participate at all levels within the structure for soccer as determined by SNS, as well as programs of skill development for mini-soccer players.
Jerseys and Crest
Bedford Soccer Association is very pleased to announce that beginning in summer 2011 we will be dressing our teams, for the first time in BSA history, with HOME and AWAY uniforms. The updated uniforms maintain the traditional royal blue, white and gold colors. The club will provide the jerseys but all players from U10 to U21 will be required to purchase new shorts as well as a pair of white socks.
1. The HOME UNIFORM consists of a royal blue jersey, royal blue shorts and white socks.
2. The AWAY UNIFORM consists of a white jersey, royal blue shorts and white socks.
A Rejuvenated BSA crest
The club’s decision to dress our teams with a completely new uniform is part of a process that occurs every three to four years. However, this time it also reflects the actual growth of the club in the community. This is a growth in number of members but mostly is a growth in the quality of the programs we offer to our kids and parents. Along with the new jerseys, the club decided to rejuvenate its traditional crest. This has been a long process which involved all board members.
